  Over-night fasting before Hijama positively impacts the consequences of cupping therapy. But it is not for everyone. Hijama cupping therapy involves placing cups on the skin to create suction. The suction improves the flow of energy and facilitates the healing process. The mechanism of cupping therapy works by applying negative pressure on the skin.
