Depression is becoming increasingly common, especially among teenagers, who are experiencing higher rates of panic attacks. Before diving into solutions, let’s first understand the issue. Depression is a real medical condition that impacts both the mind and body, affecting individuals mentally, physically, and emotionally. It’s more than just feeling sad — it affects overall well-being. Here’s what happens: Mental Effects Imbalance of neurotransmitters — Chemicals like serotonin, and dopamine, which regulate mood, and stress hormones, may become imbalanced. Increased stress hormones — The body produces more cortisol (the stress hormone), which can contribute to anxiety, fatigue, and inflammation. Physical Symptoms Fatigue and low energy — You might feel exhausted even after resting. Sleep disturbances — Insomnia (trouble sleeping) or hypersomnia (sleeping too much) are common. Appetite changes — Some people overeat for comfort, while others lose thei...

This case study discusses how Hijama/wet cupping therapy & healthy lifestyle helped my clients with low energy and laziness.
As a Hijama/wet cupping therapist, I always see individuals with different health issues and concerns. Some of the most common health issues I encounter are tiredness, laziness, fatigue, and lack of energy.
Symptoms
Tiredness, fatigue
Body aches
Lack of focus & concentration
Brain fog
Laziness
Exhausted
Emotionally weak, angry all the time with no reasons
Here, I mentioned two of my clients with different age groups and different health issues and how slight healthy lifestyle modifications changed their lives and positively impacted their health.
My first client is 28 years old, an Uber driver. For the last two years, she has been in this profession, she has lived alone, and her eating habits and sleep patterns are very abrupt.
When I inquired about her health issues, she told me that she was healthy with no hormonal issues, no high/low blood pressure, or any other health problem, the only thing that bothers her is laziness and lack of energy all the time. She told me that she doesn’t like going out of bed whether she is sleeping for 8 hours or 10, she still feels lazy. She went to the doctor, did all her blood tests and everything seemed normal.
Cupping therapy is the process of applying cups onto the skin by creating negative pressure. The negative pressure is created by vacuuming the air within the cup that draws local tissues into the cup. The negative pressure in the cup increases blood flow and loosens connective tissues as well as accelerates the healing process in the body.Previous studies have proventhat cupping therapy could ease the symptoms of chronic fatigue syndrome. Hijama cupping therapy is an effective treatment for energy loss and laziness.
Cupping therapy increases blood circulation to the area where cups are placed. It also relieves muscle tension which improves overall blood flow throughout the body and helps to repair damaged blood cells. It may also help form new connective tissues and also create new blood vessels in the tissues.
When she first came to me for cupping, I did 7 organ cleansing points on her back. She felt instant relief and energy after the session.
I also advised her to regulate her sleep patterns and to choose a healthy nutritious diet. A well-balanced healthy diet that consumes vitamins, proteins, fibre, and healthy fats should be taken to increase levels of energy and also provide lasting focus. Eatinga poor-quality diet high in junk foodis linked to a higher risk of serious medical conditions, obesity, and lack of energy.
Processed grains like white bread, white pasta, and white rice can cause more harm than good when it comes to energy levels. Such a meal creates a quick rise in blood sugar and insulin levels, as a result, energy levels drop.
I gave her another appointment after 4 weeks. I inquired about her energy levels, and she told me that she has been drinking the energy drink every morning (as mentioned above). She also tries to regulate her sleeping patterns. For the second session of Hijama, I performed head sunnah points as head points are considered “the mother of all diseases”.

My second client is a 49-year-old lady who works 45 hours a week. She is a mother and works in a store. Most of her working hours, she is on foot which makes her extremely tired at the end of the day. She was complaining about foot pain, muscular pain, and laziness. She has several other health issues and she is been on regular medications as well. Sometimes regular medications can also cause laziness and fatigue.
For her first visit, I performed back sunnah points with some additional points and foot sunnah points as she was continuously complaining about her foot pain.

We also discussed well-balanced healthy diet choices as mentioned above. Vitamins and supplements help to boost energy levels including Vitamin B12, potassium, magnesium, and iron. Dehydration is another factor for the laziness, drowsiness, and lethargy in an individual’s body. When a body is unable to receive enough electrolytes and fluids, it gets dehydrated which causes laziness and lack of energy. Dehydration not only causes tiredness but also affects focus and concentration. It also makes the skin pale and dull. Nabeez is one of the most popular sunnah alkaline Prophetic drinks. I advised her to drink Nabeez three times a week.

Because of her busy schedule, her sleep patterns were very disturbed. I advised her to massage her feet now and then. Rest is essential for the mind and body because less sleep may drain your energy levels.
The Sunnah of our Beloved Prophet (PBUH) is the best “Health Advice” to lead a healthy and happy life.
Islam teaches us that our body is an Amanah provided to us by Allah (SWT) and we will be questioned on the day of judgment about what we feed to our body. The Qur’an and Sunnah of our Holy Prophet have highlighted some superfoods that not only contain great virtue but are healthy to eat, prevent diseases, and make you physically and mentally fit. Some of the superfoods are as under:
Honey
Dates
Olives
Figs
Pumpkins
Cucumbers
Barley
Milk
Watermelon
Vinegar
Black Seeds
Fenugreek Seeds
Squash
Sunnah foods ( foods that Our Holy Prophet [P.B.U.H] ate and liked) have loads of nutrition in them. These foods should be part of our everyday routine life. Consuming these foods regularly aids in boosting energy levels and reducing laziness and lethargy.
Hijama cupping therapy is one of the best natural solutions to reduce laziness and dullness in the body. Alhumdullah I got positive results after treating my clients for laziness and fatigue.
In conclusion, Hijama Cupping therapy relieves symptoms of laziness, improves emotional behaviour, and regulates sleep patterns which results in boosting energy.
Some of my clients complained of having a fever after the session of Hijama. Let’s discuss why it happens. Hijama cupping therapy is a traditional alternative medical treatment practiced in ancient Egyptians, Chinese culture, Arabic medicine, Greek medicine, and Prophetic medicine. Cupping alleviates pain by increasing blood circulation and eliminating toxins from the body. Cupping also helps to reduce inflammation and increases blood flow, which provides relaxation and well-being to the body. Hijama cupping therapy has been a safe and secure method to handle issues with soft tissues and stiff muscles for centuries. When cups are applied on the targetted area of the skin, it creates negative pressure. The negative pressure helps to reduce the tension and stiffness in the muscles and also aids in releasing the myofascial and scar tissues. Hijama cupping therapy is a safe and secure therapy. Generally, it does not cause any severe side effects. However, some symptoms may occur for ...
This is a common question, I usually come across whether the Hijama breaks Wudu. freepik.com According to the Islamic point of view, there are two schools of thought whether cupping breaks wudu or we can perform salaah after cupping without performing ablution. What Breaks Wudu Wudu is an Islamic ritual performed by Muslims before prayer. It involves purifying body parts with water and, in some cases, tayammum—Wudu emphasis on spiritual and physical cleanliness. Muslims can’t pray without wudu. Let’s explore the options that break wudu. Natural body excretion (Urine, feces, fart) Mouthful of vomiting Deep sleep Sexual intercourse Loss of consciousness Menstruation Leaking of blood due to illness Cupping Doesn’t Break Wudu According to the majority of scholars including the companions of our Holy Prophet (P.B.U.H), bleeding doesn’t break wudu other than coming from male and female sexual organs. A Hadith mentions that Our Holy Prophet (P.B.U.H) performed Hijama and prayed salaah w...
Moving cupping therapy is very effective at combating several thyroid disorders. The thyroid gland is a part of the endocrine system, which produces and releases hormones into the bloodstream and is responsible for many body activities. Thyroid Gland The thyroid gland has an essential job to do within our body — releasing hormones that control metabolism. It controls our metabolism with T3 and T4 hormones. It creates these two hormones and they tell the body how much energy to use. When our thyroid works properly, it releases the right amount of hormones to keep our metabolism working properly. Thyroid Disorders Thyroid diseases are very common nowadays. Several thyroid disorders can arise when our thyroid produces too much or not enough hormones. 1- Hyperthyroidism: It is also called overactive thyroid which occurs when the thyroid gland produces too much of the hormone thyroxine.
