How I Treated My Skin Eczema With Hijama Cupping Therapy?

Hijama cupping therapy played a vital role in completing my journey towards recovery against eczema within 13 months.

Eczema is a chronic inflammatory skin issue that affects individuals of all ages but children are mostly affected by eczema. It is considered a type of dermatitis that causes skin inflammation. It is not contagious. Our skin is made up of several layers and each layer performs an important duty to protect our skin through these skin barriers. The outer layer of the skin can be described as a brick wall. This brick wall consists of skin cells. Keratin and natural moisturizers are found inside these skin cells. Our skin cells protect our skin from free radicals and harsh chemicals. Without these incredible skin barriers, these harmful toxins and pathogens can penetrate inside the skin and may cause damage to the skin.

There are several types of eczema but I am discussing only my eczema type: dyshidrotic eczema.

Symptoms of Dyshidrotic Eczema

Common symptoms of dyshidrotic eczema that I faced too are:

  • Small blisters on my palms and fingers
  • Dry skin
  • Uncontrollable itching around the blisters
  • Cracked skin
  • Redness around the cracked skin
  • Painful blisters

Triggers for my Eczema

  • My hands used to burn frequently whenever my skin came into contact with harsh chemicals, such as dish soaps, detergents, hand sanitizers, fragrances, and hand lotions.
  • My skin used to feel irritated if I sliced veggies with a strong smell, such as onions, garlic, ginger, or chilli peppers.
  • My skin used to get irritated by dry, cold weather. I was supposed to keep it moisturized all the time.
  • My hands used to itch a lot when wet for a longer time.

Treatments I used to Cure my Eczema

I suffered from eczema for 10 long years. Despite my father trying every possible treatment to cure my skin condition, each one only seemed to make it worse for reasons we couldn’t understand. Some of the treatments are :

  • Ointments
  • Capsules
  • Steroid injections on my fingers
  • Herbal pastes to apply on the affected skin

Then I discovered Hijama cupping therapy, and it completely changed my life for the better. This therapy cured my eczema and inspired me to learn, practice, and turn it into my profession. Over the past 10 years, I have dedicated myself to this field and successfully treated many eczema patients using the same treatment plan.

Alhamdulillah, this treatment plan works for everyone, but the duration varies. It took me a year to fully recover from my skin condition, but the time frame differs for each person. Some patients see results in six months, while others may take eight months or more, depending on their overall lifestyle and health issues.

Factors such as eating home-cooked meals, staying hydrated, taking medications as prescribed, exercising regularly, and getting eight hours of sleep each night play a significant role in the treatment process. Individuals with healthier lifestyles typically require less time to heal than those with habits that contribute to toxin buildup in the body. Since lifestyle greatly influences the amount of toxins a person carries, the treatment plan is tailored to each individual’s unique circumstances.

My Hijama Treatment plan

My Hijama treatment plan for eczema consists of 13 sessions. My Hijama practitioner explained that the first step is detoxifying the body by targeting seven specific organ points. I underwent Hijama on these seven points once a month for four months to initiate the detoxification process.

These seven Hijama points are located near the body’s main organs. By targeting these points, we help draw toxins away from the organs, allowing new blood cells to form. These fresh blood cells rejuvenate the organs, enhancing their functionality and overall health.

Targeting leg points is also crucial to detoxifying the whole body. I repeated these points twice and felt very good after doing these points.

Next comes the turn of head sunnah points. These points are called the mother of all diseases. The head sunnah points are crucial because these points cleanse the entire head, which includes the brain, eyes, ears, gums, teeth, and neck. The suction in the cup allows blood to flow freely and carry vital oxygen to the brain. The fresh and oxygenated blood cells nourish the brain and enable the whole body to function properly. Plenty of diseases for instance; migraines, headaches, sinusitis, glaucoma, vertigo, acne, and several skin problems such as eczema may be cured by the will of Allah(SWT).

Up to this point, I performed cupping seven times: four sessions targeting the seven organ Hijama points, two on the leg points, and one on the Sunnah point on the forehead. The primary goal was to detoxify the entire body. After completing this phase, we shifted focus to the back Hijama points, targeting them multiple times.

Next, we focused on the abdomen points and various points around the hands and feet, performing Hijama on these areas multiple times. Cupping therapy on the abdomen promotes fresh blood flow to the digestive tract, stimulates the digestive organs to cleanse the system, enhances blood and fluid circulation through the organs, and alleviates issues like indigestion and constipation.

Targeting the points around the hands and feet improves blood circulation, relieves pain, reduces muscular discomfort in connective tissues, and helps decrease swelling and muscle knots in these areas.

In addition to Hijama cupping therapy, I made significant changes to my diet. I eliminated junk food, processed foods, sugary beverages, and high-calorie items. Alongside a balanced diet, I incorporated several home remedies into my routine. Three of the remedies that worked for me were:

  1. Banana Peel Application: Every day, I used to apply a banana peel to the affected areas of my skin, primarily on my hands. This simple remedy provided soothing relief.
  2. Coconut Oil and Baking Soda Mix: Whenever my hands felt dry, I used a coconut oil and baking soda mixture. This combination helped moisturize my skin and reduce irritation.
  3. Yogurt Treatment: Occasionally, I applied yogurt to my hands and rinsed them with water. After using yogurt, I avoided soap or body wash, as the beneficial bacteria in the yogurt needed to absorb into the skin to aid in healing the damaged areas.

Whenever I asked doctors how long it would take to cure my eczema, their response was always the same — that I would need to rely on medications and ointments for a long time. For 10 years, I followed their treatments without success. Alhamdulillah, Allah (SWT) guided me to a permanent cure i.e. Hijama. If I can overcome my skin condition, you can too, insha’Allah. Ultimately, Allah knows best.
